Predators (and scavengers) urban

Since man is man is a predator, and since before too, I venture to say. Not surprisingly, we have two eyes in front of our skulls and we can see in three dimensions and calculate distances well. For several centuries, part of the population, which has collected in cities to live in society, no longer need to procure food from their own resources. Hunt, I mean. We do not need those skills, but that does not mean that we have lost at all. I put some examples:

This morning, I dropped a coffee before taking the car to go to my class of Euskera. I entered the coffee shop near my house and I asked for a cut, as always or almost always. Well, in that coffee shop like many others, newspapers are available to anyone who wants to browse them. And there you have to deploy a complex tactical game. You have that sharp eye to see when someone finishes his coffee and left the newspaper to take it away and read it yourself. In this case all the techniques are used: stealth (not to give pain in the ass when you read), speed and effectiveness to take it.

This is also evident when the car park. In the street you want to park, slow down and you look at both sides of the street a white light comes on, a woman or man with a bunch of keys dangling from your wrist ... And as you find the hole as you rush if you were a peregrine falcon. On these occasions there are power struggles, the two hunters who have seen their prey and are challenged to keep it.

And then there are the scavengers, ferrets canapés at public openings and various events. They may no longer be agile to jump quickly to the food, but not away from the hunting area and, in fact, do not let you access it. You have to mess with them like a hyena on a piece of tapa.
Scavengers also love the activities that are marked with the word "free." If not, remember the queues that formed to raise or lower the elevator to the street when I opened Descalzos or the huge row had to get on the Ferris wheel Yanguas Street and Miranda when they opened the bus station ...

Finally, we have not completely lost our hunting gear and put them into practice every day.

PS: There are also nocturnal predators but this species would for a separate post ...
